Temple of Death Promotes Culture of Death

In Washington, D.C., 13 blocks from the White House, stands the imposing House of the Temple. It is the headquarters of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Southern Jurisdiction, USA. The building is a recreation of the ancient tomb of Mausolus at Halicarnassus that once stood in what is now Turkey. A tomb is where the dead reside. We get the term “mausoleum,” a place where dead bodies are kept, from the name Mausolus. The mother temple of this very powerful Masonic group is a symbol of death.
Freemasonry is the great champion of liberalism, secularism and egalitarianism. Masonry was instrumental in the founding of the USA, the French Revolution and the modern notions of human rights and freedoms. Not all of what it stands for is evil; however, it and its allies are masters at making evil seem good and promoting an evil agenda under a benevolent veil. The prevailing cultural spirit throughout the Western world is, I believe, a Masonic spirit. It is increasingly a spirit of death.
When I was a boy, our Toronto neighborhood was full of children. Our parents could focus on adult responsibilities as we played in the backyards, laneways and playgrounds. But the sexual revolution was in full swing. With it came abortion on demand, the much greater use of contraception, feminism, legalized pornography, casual sex and easy divorce. Today, more and more Canadians are not getting married or they are delaying marriage, delaying having children, and having less children.
The neighborhood I now live in has only a few young children and lots of old people. It seems that most neighborhoods in Canada are like that. Canada’s population is no longer growing through natural increase. In much of the nation, we are closing schools and building old age homes. Partly because of the high cost of caring for the elderly, “doctor assisted dying” is on the verge of being legalized.
Before the sexual revolution of the 1960s, it was relatively easier to maintain one’s innocence. F-words were never used on television. The values shown on popular TV shows, while not perfect, were much, much better than today. Hard core porn was illegal in Ontario. Today, anyone with access to the internet can view sickening, shocking porn that could destroy one’s soul. To habitually use porn, as a great many people do today, is to court eternal death.
What Pope John Paul II called “the culture of death” (the acceptance and practice of abortion, euthanasia, and serious sin of all kinds) is growing in our world. Not surprisingly, this is occurring most in those nations that are abandoning the last vestiges of Christianity and embracing radical secularism. Most people believe that factors such as urbanization, education, technological progress, etc, are solely responsible. I believe that these “accidental” factors have made the “culture of death” more probable but they have not made it inevitable.
The culture of death is growing mainly because of the worldwide Satanic influence of elite, secretive organizations such as Freemasonry. I don’t mean to denigrate all Freemasons, most of whom are decent men who know nothing of the “higher purpose” of the Lodge. “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms” (Ephesians 6:12).
The culture of death can only be overcome by the culture of life. The Catholic Church is the great champion of life and puts its hope in Mary our mother and Jesus our Saviour. Please do your part to promote the culture of life.
