Anti-bullying bill Passes in Ontario
June 5th, 2012, Ontario passed Bill 13 the Accepting Schools Act 65 yay to 36 nay. This is another unforunate blow to moral values in Ontario, and Canada. This Bill seeks to erode religious liberty even further. Even though the ACT is filled with feminist, and anti-Catholic rhetoric the most damaging part to Catholics is the section below.
303.1 (1) Every board shall support pupils who want to establish and lead activities and organizations that promote a safe and inclusive learning environment, the acceptance of and respect for others and the creation of a positive school climate, including,
(a) activities or organizations that promote gender equity;
(b) activities or organizations that promote anti-racism;
(c) activities or organizations that promote the awareness and understanding of, and respect for, people with disabilities; or
(d) activities or organizations that promote the awareness and understanding of, and respect for, people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, including organizations with the name gay-straight alliance or another name.
This legislation forces Catholic school boards to allow students to form Gay/Lesbian clubs that obviously are not in line with God, Christ, Catholic teaching, or Catholic thought. The current liberal government continues to erode principles and Catholic morals in Ontario. Mcguinty has been shamelessly promoting this for at least two years and he is yet another Catholic who has set himself up as a god to promote his ideology. He bows to the secular and eats from the troff of indignation. Why is this man not excommunicated yet? Where are the courageous Bishops of Ontario to oversee their flocks and to enact fraternal correction?
Even our own Bishop Frederick Colli in Thunder Bay had and interview with CBC Radio yesterday. I am still trying to attain the full broadcast, but I did find the below quotes:
“Thunder Bay’s Catholic Bishop says Catholic schools in the northwest will honour requests for gay-straight alliances if students ask for them.” and “qualified adults will oversee any clubs to ensure Catholic values reflected”. and then “if they want to engage in that kind of homosexual lifestyle, there will be challenges to them because our church doesn’t really support that kind of lifestyle.” Can this be any more ambigous?
We understand that most with positions of authority in the Catholic school system have basically thrown in the towel on many of our Catholic morals. Is it any wonder that more and more parents are seeking to remove their kids from the diseased Catholic school system? When our own leaders barely speak a word against this heresy who will? In my opinion it is time to remove the name “Catholic” from the system, and disassociate ourselves from it all together. Once we stop taking funds from our government then we will be free to teach our faith again in our schools. Let us pray for our school officials, and clergy that they will take up their cross daily, because this rotton fruit is about to fall off the tree.
“Amen, amen I say to you, unless the grain of wheat falling into the ground die, Itself remaineth alone. But if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.”
The table below shows the Yes votes to the No Votes. If you know any of the voters on the “Yes” side of this vote, especially Catholics, please send them a letter or email expressing your disgust.
